Today was the last full day of VBS and construction. It has truly been an amazing week. This morning we finished the inside walls of teh house which formed a bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and living area. The doors were hung in the house as well. We finished making windows and doors in a concrete building on the school property which opened up an additional classroom for school and church use. The pastor's office was completed in the church also.

Several students and adults went prayerwalking and then to visit a family in the village that has been involved in VBS this week. It was so touching to spend time with that family and see life from their perspective. They showed us their house, kitchen area and firepit for cooking, and the crops they have growing to feed their family. We even snacked on sugar cane! It was a highlight for the morning for sure.

This morning we invited the moms and teens to the church to make jewelry. It was great time with the moms to talk and get to know them better. The children colored and played with blocks we had made from the scrap wood leftover from the construction projects. It was just a fun time to play and spend time with the people of Light of the Valley.

This afternoon we had over 293(that was the last count!) for VBS. It was unbelievable! But it was a great day, and the youth enjoyed continuing the relationships they started at the beginning of the week.

Tomorrow we will teach Sunday School at Light of the Valley Church and lead in worship. After church we plan to go cave tubing and then possibly to church with Julie in the evening. It's been a great week!
